Frames per Second - Exhibition in Salon Projektionist - Vienna
Bopa and Bruno Tait, as the outcome of Deutzer Freiheit's artist residency at the MuseumsQuartier, presented an exhibition titled 'Frames per Second' in Salon Projektionist in Vienna, December 2008.

Frames per second

The uninterupted and always changing flow of images which the live visual artist shows, is not only a selection of pictures, videos and shapes, but also a time and music controlled change, which determines the color, position and other parameters. The animated worlds created can only be controlled to a certain degree. The rest is up to chance.

In animations, we loose the beauty of each single frame. By capturing it in motion from a video projector straight onto photographic paper, we can give the frame a new life as a physical object of art. A collection of these printed frames creates an interesting lightinstallation where the light jump from one frame to another. The moment of the single frame are yet again stolen from the printed image by projecting it's source animation on top. Music accompaning the piece is produced by Shumi and Hansen.
